Once awarded, an RPL holder is permitted to fly solo or as pilot-in-command of single engine piston aircraft less than 1500kg takeoff weight, and within a 25 nautical mile radius of your departure airport.Īfter achieving your RPL, your licence can be augmented by earning additional endorsements including navigation, controlled airspace or controlled aerodrome that increase the distance and areas you can fly.
